TO ALL CHURCHES: This past week the Lord called home Agnes De G. from Holland Homes in Brampton. She was a sister to Margaret G. of Grace CRC, Teny B. of Calvary CRC and a sister-in-law to Mrs. Ann D. of First CRC. She was buried this past week in Sarnia. May God comfort the G., B. and D. families with His love.
FIRST CHURCH: We are thankful with Sisca P. that her recuperation is going well following hip replacement. Bill M. continues to be under doctor’s care, and while he is improving, more tests are being conducted. Jack H. continues to experience difficulties, especially with his eyesight. Remember Bill V. as he anticipates surgery in the coming weeks. In this approaching Christmas season, please visit our shut-ins with a visit or card.
Happy Birthday to Mr. Gerard L. who turned 84 today, to Mr. Jack L. who turned 74 today, to Mrs. Lea Y. who is turning 78 on the 29th, to Mrs. Wilhelmina B. who is turning 91 on the 30th, and to Mrs. Marie V. who is turning 78 on the 30th. Have a wonderful celebration and blessings throughout the year.
GRACE CHURCH: We express our condolences to Gerda D. with the passing of her husband, Peter D. this past Sunday. Our sympathies are also offered to their daughter Julie C. and grandsons Cody, Kyle and Carson. The funeral was held this past Thursday at Grace Church. May God be near them as they mourn his death.
John V. returned home from the hospital on Wednesday morning and is currently receiving antibiotics. Continue to keep him and Edith in your prayers as he has a procedure scheduled for December 2.
Jessica M. W. underwent surgery on her right eye on Tuesday, which was successful. She continues to recover from the procedure and her eye is healing well.
BLENHEIM CHURCH: We continue to remember Cor and Johanna B. Cor has been able to take a few hours out with the help of a portable oxygen tank. We also pray for Wouter P. as he is in the midst of 7 weeks of radiation therapy. We also pray for our expecting mothers as the due dates come closer. As we enter into the advent season we look forward not only to Christmas, but also the return of our King.

Christmas Concert: On Friday, December 9, you are invited to a Christmas Concert at St. Andrews United Church,85 William St., beginning at 7 PM. The concert features organists, Conrad Gold, Willem Ligthart, Alex VanPelt, The Chatham-Kent Christian Men’s Choir, Gary Kivell (soloist), “Witness” (Charlene Sluis and Chuck Zuidema), and audience participation. A free-will offering will be taken for NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent. Come out and enjoy an evening of Christian fellowship!
MESSIAH: The performance is December 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chatham Capitol Theatre. This year’s performance features The Laudate Dominum Choir, celebrating their 50th Anniversary, the Chatham Christian High School Concert Choir, orchestra and guest soloists, one of whom is CCHS alumni, Suzanne Schaafsma (currently a vocal master’s student at U of T.). Proceeds from this concert will go to “Right to Life” and “Chatham Outreach for Hunger”.
