We are glad that they have been warmly received. We also pray for tomorrow's federal election and ask that God would guide us as we vote.
FIRST CHURCH: Grace VanR. continues to remain in hospital to receive therapy. Please pray for healing so she may soon return home. Johanna W., is expected to return home this weekend. Please remember all who suffer and are in need of a visit or a card. Pray for one another.

CALVARY CHURCH: Pastor Chris and Sanneke S. had a baby girl two weeks ago. She is named Meagan Joy. She and her mom are doing well. We pray for the safe arrivals of two more babies in our church family in the next few weeks.

Fundraiser Sale for families in Haiti (just in time for Mother’s Day): Mary DeKoter, missionary to Haiti, will be again holding a fundraiser sale of paper bead jewelry as well as other jewelry, metal ware, wooden bowls and baskets as well as vanilla and almond extract, to directly support and assist families in Haiti in feeding and keeping their children rather than giving them up for adoption, to help many children attend school, as well as assist a second year student who lost everything in the earthquake as well as her parents. This fundraiser sale will be held at Calvary Church on Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 a.m. till noon. Please mark this date on your calendars to support this important cause. PARK MORNING - Looking for a fun mid-week morning outing? Then plan to come to Blythe Park on Wednesday, May 4! You and the children in your life (toddlers, pre-schoolers, grandchildren, etc.) are invited by GRACE CRC COFFEE BREAK to join us from 10 a.m. until noon. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FIELD DAY!! It’s that time of year again, folks!! We need your help to make CCS Field Day run smoothly. We are looking for people to either lead a group of energetic children or run an event. The date of this exciting and fun event is Thursday, May 19, 2011. The RAIN DATE is Friday, May 20. If you are interested, please let Marsha V. What we need to know is what you would like to do (either an event or group) and what day you are able to come (Thursday, Friday or both). Attention Golfers: On Saturday June 11 we are having are annual golf tournament for the Chatham Christian School. It will be held at Deer Run Golf Course with a shot gun start at 12:30 P.M. Registration is from 11:00 to 12:00. The cost is 85$ with a 40$ tax receipt. This includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes. If you only come for the dinner the cost is 25$. This year The National March for Life will be taking place in Ottawa on Thursday May 12, 2011. Once again Canadians will be marching on Parliament Hill to bring a message demanding justice and protection for the unborn. Prior to the march a Prayer Service led by Rev. Rev. John Roke. The service will take place at the Jubilee Canadian Reformed Church, 1876 Merivale Rd, Nepean, ON (just south of Hunt Club Road) at 10:00am on May 12, 2011.
