BLENHEIM CHURCH: We thank God for the birth of a baby girl, Rebecca Jane, to Jody and Colin P. this past Wednesday. We also pray for Mike V. who ended up in Chatham hospital last Saturday and has been on the Fourth floor most of this week.
FIRST CHURCH: Please remember Amy, Janet H.’s granddaughter, who will undergo surgery this Tuesday to remove a large tumour in her leg. Doctors will determine at time of surgery whether it is malignant or not. Continue to pray for our church family who remain under doctors’ care. We join Jack and Jeannie B. in welcoming their fourth grandchild, Jaxson James Keats—a great-grandchild to Ann D. May God bless you with his precious gift of new life. We also join Christine S. and her family in celebrating the marriage of her children, Tami S, and David R., trusting God will bless their marriage and home. They will be living in Grimsby. Happy birthday to Mrs. Tina F. who is celebrating her 93rd birthday today, Mr. Harm B. will be 75 on the 10th, and Lena W. will turn 81 on the 14th. Blessings on your special days!
CALVARY CHURCH: Ryan and Jessica P. had a baby girl last week. She was named Ally Sophia; she and her mom (and dad) are doing well. John D. was given good news - that his surgery was successful in removing the cancer from his neck area. For now, no further treatment is necessary.
GRACE CHURCH: Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers!! Have a blessed day with your families! All the students who have been away at College or University are returning and we pray that they may come back safely and that they are able to find summer work while they take a break from their studies. We wish a Happy Belated Birthday to Wilma N. who turned 72 yesterday. Also Birthday greetings to Henk K. who is turning 86 on May 12!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FIELD DAY!! It’s that time of year again, folks!! We need your help to make CCS Field Day run smoothly. We are looking for people to either lead a group of energetic children or run an event. The date of this exciting and fun event is Thursday, May 19, 2011. The RAIN DATE is Friday, May 20. If you are interested, please let Marsha V. What we need to know is what you would like to do (either an event or group) and what day you are able to come (Thursday, Friday or both). Attention Golfers: On Saturday June 11 we are having are annual golf tournament for the Chatham Christian School. It will be held at Deer Run Golf Course with a shot gun start at 12:30 P.M. Registration is from 11:00 to 12:00. The cost is 85$ with a 40$ tax receipt. This includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes. If you only come for the dinner the cost is 25$. Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, Ridgetown presents THE BLAZING FIDDLES on SUNDAY, MAY 15th at 7:30 pm. This group of talented violinists along with piano accompaniment will bring you to your feet with an amazing variety of classic fiddle tunes, popular show songs, a medley of classical violin and much more. This year The National March for Life will be taking place in Ottawa on Thursday May 12, 2011. Once again Canadians will be marching on Parliament Hill to bring a message demanding justice and protection for the unborn. Prior to the march a Prayer Service led by
Rev. Rev. John Roke. The service will take place at the Jubilee Canadian Reformed Church, 1876 Merivale Rd, Nepean, ON (just south of Hunt Club Road) at 10:00am on May 12, 2011.
