PRAYER LIST


CALVARY CHURCH:  John DeV.
is recovering from a recent minor surgery to his neck. The biopsy on that spot revealed that some further treatment will be necessary. Ina DeV. will celebrate a birthday this week. Congratulations to Clara D. who became a grandparent once again last week - a child born to Rana and Minh.

BLENHEIM CHURCH:  We continue our prayers for Kaelyn Mae S. who now has reached beyond 5 lbs.  We pray that she may continue to grow and develop so that she may be able to go home in good time.  We continue to remember our seniors and our widowed people.  Pray especially for Ann V., Marg V., Mike V.,  Lammie F. and others.   

FIRST CHURCH:  Please continue to remember Al H., Jackie L., Bob L., and others who are undergoing treatment or are recuperating from various surgeries.  Grace VanR. had her knee operated on again last Saturday and has been fitted with a cast.  Her recuperation will be a slow process; pray for patience and healing.  Please remember our shut-ins in your daily prayers. 

GRACE CHURCH: Congratulations to Caleb and Andrea P. with the birth of their daughter, Avienda on February 19th.  We wish you God’s blessings with your family!  Happy birthday to Ralph N. who is 75 today and to Lou K. who will be 79 on March 2nd.  Have a blessed day!

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER 2011 service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 85 William St. S., Chatham, on Friday March 4, 2011 at 2pm.

 Aeroplan Miles for C.C.S.  There are almost 40 specially marked products by Quaker and Tropicana that have a PIN number enclosed for Aeroplan miles.  Look for the Aeroplan logo on the package. Then on the inside of the box, there will be a 12 digit PIN #.  For Tropicana, you will find the PIN # a t the top of the container.  If you do not collect Aeroplan miles but purchase these products please email the PIN number to trip@chathamchristian.ca or cut out the PIN # and submit to the school office or put in Suzanne W.’s mail slot.   The Aeroplan miles will be used as an additional fundraiser for the school. 
 

 Come to the Haiti Mission Trip Fundraiser Event being held at the First CRC on Saturday, March 5 from 9am to 12noon. There will be several vendors there, including Epicure Selections, Creative Memories, Tupperware, Stampin' Up and a few others (Usborne Books, Close to My Heart). Some of the vendors will have clearance tables and discounts too. There will be some vendors with cash and carry items, and some that take cheques, mastercard and visa as well.  All Proceeds from the sales will go to support Brenda and Kadee L. on their upcoming Mission Trip to Haiti. You will not want to miss this very worthwhile cause!  

ADVANCE NOTICE:  The annual Chatham Christian School Inspirational Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 30th, so mark this date on your calendar.  More details will follow in the next few weeks, but this promises to be a wonderful evening of celebration that you won't want to miss!!

CCHS presents "Children's Letters to God"
based on the book by Stuart Hample.  Come and experience a charming musical about young children who delve into the issues of life, sharing doubts, and asking questions of God. "How come you bless us after each sneeze but you don't put an end to disease?  How come some never learn right from wrong?  How come some countries can't get along?"  This musical composed by David Evans and Douglas Cohen will be performed March 3, 4, and 5 at 7:30 pm in the Chatham Christian Schools Worship Centre (475 Keil Dr. S).  Tickets are now on sale from the main office for adults at $10 and students at $7.

The Annual Inter-Classis Safe Church Abuse Prevention Training Event will take place on Saturday March 5, 2011 at the Waterloo CRC from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  Registration fee:  $25.00 Includes lunch and refreshments.
