5PM COMBINED EVENING WORSHIP SERVICES AT GRACE
CRC:
TONIGHT:
will be led by Grace CRC. Pastor William
will be preaching on Matthew 12:1-21 and Heidelberg
Catechism Lord’s Day 6 “Justice Is Led To Victory”.
Psalm
95:2 declares: “Let us come before him with
thanks-giving and extol him with music and song.”
One writer said, “Thanksgiving is that quiet,
unassuming day in the year that frustrates merchants
because they can’t make an extra dollar off it.”
And that, to me, is the beauty of it. There are no
jingles to sing, no commercials to endure, and no
gifts to buy—just a day to be thankful, to gather in
a place of worship and say, “Thank you Lord.” Oh,
and one other note, remember—it is called, Thanks-giving.
Sunday
October 9 – Social Justice and Hunger:
The CRC office of Social Justice responds especially
to issues as they relate to hunger and poverty. We
educate CRC members, encourage and support their
engagement in social justice issues, and
occasionally are involved in direct advocacy.
Thanksgiving Monday October 10 – CRWRC Free a
Family:
helps children overcome poverty through community
programs for parents and caregivers in agriculture,
health, nutrition, literacy, and more.
Sunday October 16 – CRC Disabilities Concerns:
communicates with churches primarily through its
network of volunteers, but also through its
newsletter, Breaking Barriers. It is
available to offer assistance by phone, letter,
email, or in person (when possible) on matters
related to the needs of persons with disabilities,
their families, and their churches.

easy to do. Refreshment s and goodies will be
supplied as we work. The sign up sheet is on the
