Some
years ago, as a student in Israel, I had the
opportunity to visit the river Jabbok in Jordan.
Jabbok means, “a place of passing over.” For Jacob
it meant his life was forever changed—even his name
was changed to Israel—“for you have struggled with
God and prevailed.” We too, face our Jabbok
experiences: spiritual renewal, growth,
transformation, commitment. All these and more are
necessary for our life’s journey and our future
destination.
Sunday
October 16 – CRC Disabilities Concerns:
communicates with churches primarily through its
network of volunteers, but also through its
newsletter, Breaking Barriers. It is
available to offer assistance by phone, letter,
email, or in person (when possible) on matters
related to the needs of persons with disabilities,
their families, and their churches.
Sunday October 23 – Gary & Gayla Timmerman (The CRWM
Team in Russia):
St. Petersburg Christian Media Center and Library
serves over 2000 registered readers and unites a
number of local denominations in the common goal of
educating citizens of St. Petersburg and
evangelizing unbelievers toward an informed
Christian Commitment. In addition, we are
encouraging and equipping Russian missionaries as
they make contact with people seeking the Christian
faith.
TODAY’S NURSERY ATTENDANTS:
Roger G., Pauline P., Kadee L.
Please inform the secretary or
your district elder if there are any
announcements or concerns that you would like to

We
would like to send Christmas cheer to our
neighbours around our church by giving them
Christmas Cards and inviting them to attend our
special Christmas services this December.

and Calvary on October 26th at
7pm at Grace CRC to make 500
Christmas Cards. Please set this date aside and
come and help out. Both men and women are
needed and the jobs are very easy to do.
Refreshment s and goodies will be supplied as we
work.
The sign up sheet is on the table in the
Fellowship Hall by the tea.
Please bring your own adhesive if you have it to
help keep the costs down. All other materials
will be provided. For more information please
talk to Deb G.. See you there!
