PASTOR’S COMMENT:

The psalmist reminds us, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” Ps. 90:12.  Time is life and how you spend it.  Too often we hear that our days, weeks, and months are full to capacity.  But we can change; we can manage our time instead of it managing us.  How?  By setting goals and priorities.  If necessary, find a space of a day or so to think about where you have been and where you think you ought to go.  Just spending time with God each day will help in our busy agendas.  Time is our ally, not our enemy.

MORNING OFFERINGS:

Sunday November 6 – CRWRC World Hunger: This year’s CRWRC campaign reminds us that what we want and what we commit to do are two different things.  Commitment-wholehearted and prayerful-is a conscious decision.  While we might all want hunger to end, we also need to make a commitment to be part of the solution.  CRWRC joins groups who are improving farming techniques, teaching adult literacy, providing small loans to business people, and taking other steps to find long-term solutions to poverty.
